Best of Dubai – COFFEE BY THE BEACH
Flat White – Kimbo Coffee
Location
Kimbo coffee on Kite Beach for sure.
Price
Just AED 18 – a very fair price for a coffee in Dubai on the beach too!
Good to Know
It’s hot, very hot BUT if you get up early and have a walk, then good to know that Kimbo at Kite Beach opens around 7am. You’ll get coffee from around 7.10am.
Nice china cups if you’re sitting there with umbrellas that provide decent shade too! Much cheaper than many other nearby places, you get a free biscuit and the coffee is always perfect.

JARA by Martin Berasetagui at The Lana hotel – part of the Dorchester Collection.
Price
A hefty AED 90 BUT enough for 3 to 4 people sharing, so a good choice. See feature picture above

Did you know that Lana means soft and gentle in Arabic? It also means belonging to us, or for us.
The newish Lana is one of number of hotels in the international Dorchester Collection. And the only Dorchester Collection hotel in Dubai as at June 2024

AED 145 for 3 cocktails AND 2 types of good quality ceviche!
Good to Know
Soul Kitchen is a cool place to hang out and have some drinks and snacks with friends.
I like that it’s not connected to a hotel, feels kind of like a neighbourhood place. Cocktails are good, I liked my Peach Margarita and prosecco is served in very pretty coupe glasses. Super stylish.
Also just add some of the excellent well portioned mezzes and maybe you don’t need a big dinner! I loved my Soul Kitchen Guacamole with plantain chips, great for sharing – AED 75 see picture above.
