Notes
- For a vegan option, coconut or almond milk is perfect

Flavour Boosts & Spices - makes this chai pudding your own
Sweetener (Choose 1): Maple syrup, honey, or brown sugar. Sweeten it as much (or as little!) as you like! I add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
Warming Spices: Cardamom (my favorite!), a pinch of ginger powder, and cinnamon.
Chia is the ancient Mayan word for "strength," which may be why these nutrient-dense seeds are considered a superfood!
Easy Instructions: How to Make chia pudding
This is so straightforward, whether you’re using a stovetop or a Thermomix!
On the stove method
- Combine the milk, chia seeds, sweetener, and spices (do not add the fruit yet) in a small saucepan.
- Place the pan on a very low heat.
- Stir constantly for about 7 to 10 minutes. The goal is to gently warm the pudding and start the gelling process.
- Remove from heat.
Thermomix method
- Add the milk, chia seeds, sweetener, and spices to the bowl.
- Set the temperature to 37°C, the speed to 2, and mix for about 5 minutes.
- Pour into containers.

Serving & Storage
Portion Control Power!
This recipe is fabulous for portion control. As soon as it’s ready, pour your warm pudding into small individual containers or pots. This makes it easy to grab and go!
Toppings
- Berries: Top your cooled pudding with fresh or defrosted frozen berries.
- The Passion Fruit Twist: For a great, tangy twist, try adding fresh passion fruit pulp instead of berries – maybe you need a little more sweet if you adding this
- Other Ideas: Nuts, shredded coconut, or a drizzle of extra maple syrup.
