ADDRESS BOULEVARD HOTEL DUBAI

The Address Boulevard hotel Dubai is the newest addition to the well known Emaar Address hotels group. This one is right in the center of Downtown Dubai. It opened its doors to the public on the 1st of March 2017. I think it’s one of the best looking hotels in the Dubai at the moment. Here’s why…

The Lobby of the Address Boulevard hotel Dubai

Walking into the lobby of the Address Boulevard hotel Dubai transported me to a hushed, soft grey, elegant floral world that seemed miles away from Dubai’s concrete skyscrapers and shiny chrome.

The lobby has an extremely high ceiling that provides the backdrop to a fabulously modern crystal and glass chandelier. The well groomed front of house staff were dressed in elegant, fitted, magenta dresses and spoke to me for as long I wanted.

I learned there were 3 swimming pools, 196 guest rooms and 523 residences at the hotel. One pool is for sole use of spa guests. I’d love these dark grey velvet sofas in my sitting room!

Walking into the lobby lounge provided another perfect photo moment with Farrow and Ball type heritage colour coded walls balanced with contemporary lime coloured uniforms of the waitress.

The proportions of the space while on a large scale, didn’t seem overwhelming at all. This would be a great place to sit for a while and perfect for a small snack or drink.

Floor to ceiling windows let in lots of natural light. I loved the look of the lime coloured macarons on the white marble counter that perfectly matched the waitress’s uniform!

The Restaurant at the Address Boulevard hotel Dubai

The main place to dine at the Address Boulevard hotel is simply named The Restaurant.

The Restaurant is the most enchanting and appealing dining space I’ve seen inside a hotel.

The space is subtly delineated into areas that you’d find in a normal house or apartment. So you can choose to eat in the study, or the library or perhaps the music room with it’s wind up gramophone playing real vinyl records.

There is even a walk in wardrobe area to eat where the glass backdrop is arranged to showcase different designer wear. Womenswear was on display when I visited, so I think this may be ideal for those ladies who need a new place to lunch. And if that wasn’t enough for you to talk about, there’s even The Secret Room…

The Design of The Restaurant at the Address Boulevard hotel Dubai

I was lucky enough to be shown around The Restaurant by the designers Carlos and Ewald from London who were commissioned to create the space.

They explained that they wanted the space to be a place where people felt they were entertaining guests at their own – fairly stylish – homes!

They imagined rightly that hotel guests and residents of Dubai would be well travelled, appreciate good styling and modern art and music. They’d have maybe been inspired on their travels and recreated a look, a feeling in their own homes.

I asked whether there was a price tag under a triangular dining table I liked, in case I wanted to buy it. Not yet they said! But it’s that kind of place. You’ll notice the attention to detail if the design doesn’t blow you away completely.

The menu at The Restaurant Address Boulevard hotel Dubai

There are 2 menus at the moment for the Restaurant in the Address Boulevard hotel. There is a smaller Bar Bites and Drinks Menu and a longer Meal Menu that is available to guests all day.

We tried lunch here last week and chose a trio of hummus with feta and olives, lamb and roasted seasonal mushrooms.  While the hummus itself was of a high standard I was expecting 3 different dishes made into a hummus type consistency that could be eaten as a dip.

I’d choose the burrata next time or the watermelon halloumi and pomegranate salad. AED 55 for the watermelon salad.

I liked my shrimp ravioli with a sugar snap peas. It’s called house made casconcello and comes with a touch of garlic oil and salt flakes to bring out all the flavours.

My friend enjoyed her Prime Angus Beef Burger served with raclette cheese, smoked mushrooms and homemade steak sauce. You can opt for salad or hand cut fries, so at AED 95 with fries or salad sitting at a place like this, that’s pretty good value.

My Casconcello was more expensive at AED 125. I loved my side of roasted green asparagus served with whole grain mustard and macadamia at AED 40.

I think I’d try the artisan cheese selection here with seasonal fresh fruit, pressed walnut fig loaf and baguette. It’s on the higher side at AED 110 but if the portions were generous, this would be ideal to share with a friend for lunch. Add in a French Press coffee at AED 22 then all would be well with the world!

I also really liked and am going back to try some dishes from the Breakfast Menu. You can order from the breakfast section of the main menu anytime of the day and dishes like the Morning Tatine that comprises of a slow poached egg on wholewheat toast with smashed avocado and Greek feta fit the bill at AED 60.

Choose from healthier Berry Bowls  or more indulgent Belgian waffles with cinnamon creme fraiche. Breakfast seems wholesome and interesting. I wouldn’t choose to eat breakfast in the kitchen part of The Restaurant though as this wasn’t my favourite bit of the space.

Try some of the Bar Bites in the gorgeous Games Room. I liked the sound of Halloumi felafel and the tuna tatare tostadas – around AED 60 to AED 65. No Happy Hours here as yet, but a good selection for those who imbibe and for those who don’t!

One restaurant but many different places to dine at the new Address Boulevard hotel in Dubai. Elegant, contemporary dining spaces that make people feel as though they're entertaining at home! Come in and welcome to the Restaurant. . . . . . @adhboulevard #ADHboulevard #elegant #goodtaste #instagram #interiors #restaurants #dubairestaurants #stylish #stylishladies #ladieswholunch #doindubai #luxury #luxuryhotel #luxe @sundaytimestravel @cntravellerme @foodandwine @travelandleisure #mydubai #visitdubai #dubailifestyle #entertaining @felicityspector @stjohnknits #stjohnknits
