CHIA SEED JAM
Chia Seed Jam 3 Ingredients
Chia seed jam made with just 3 ingredients is tasty, good for you and so easy to prepare. Giveย this vegan, gluten free recipe a go and use with your favourite natural yoghurt, pop into a smoothie or just have a blob on some toast.
You won’t buy shop bought again! No pectin, setting agents or sugar needed.ย

How to Make
- Measure out your ingredients
A quarter cup measure is a really easy and a helpful way to do this
- Add your fruit to a saucepan
Simmer on a low heat stirring occasionally till fruits are soft but not totally pureed.
- Take off the heat when the fruit is soft and pulpy
you can mash a bit with a the back of a spoon but leave some pieces or chunks of fruit
- Stir in the chia seeds to the fruit in the pan OFF THE HEAT
Stir though and then leave for about 10 minutes. Then stir again.
- Add your honey or maple syrup at this point
Stir again and leave for 5 minutes
- transfer to a clean, dry jar
allow to cool, add your lid and store in the fridge till cold and set. About 2 hours or so, overnight is better. Then it's READY to eat. Store again in the fridge.
Equipment Required
- A saucepan to melt down or stew your fruits in
- A jar with a tight lid to store your jam and keep in the fridge
