Hakkasan Dubai hasn’t been around for 15 years, but it’s still joining in the celebrations with a special Only At menu.
Hakkasan is 15 years old this October and to celebrate, Hakkasan Dubai has a special Only At menu. We ate dinner at Hakkasan Dubai and tried some items from the Only At menu. Should you bother trying it too?
Food at Hakkasan Dubai
In a word, yes you should. We LOVED our food at Hakkasan Dubai. High quality, contemporary Chinese food, beautifully presented. The hand pulled noodles (from the a la carte menu) were the best I’ve eaten in Dubai. The crispy duck rolls were filled with well cooked, plump, shredded duck and the dim sums were also excellent. Choose from fried or steamed dim sum platter.
The Only At menu has specially constructed dishes at the Hakkasan restaurants all over the world. These dishes will change every few months. We tried and highly recommend the seafood soup with goji berries and angelica root. The unimpressive sounding but very impressive tasting fried scampi rolls are a must try. Expect plump, juicy prawns expertly wrapped with crispy, vermicelli style pastry.
Signature dishes include the charcoal grilled Chilean Seabass and slow braised grouper. I must admit while I really liked my seabass, I couldn’t obviously detect the charcoal flavor I was expecting.
We tried a special Orange Scented polenta cake that was part of the Only At menu, as well as another new dessert . Neither of them had obvious Chinese connotations as far I could make out, but both were exquisite and really complemented the main courses. I would have these desserts again.
To Drink at Hakkasan Dubai
I really liked the bar at Hakkasan Dubai, it wasn’t too crowded at all on a Friday evening. I tried a new to me Pumpkin and Mandarin Bellini! This was slightly salty almost I’d say and is an acquired taste. I’d definitely suggest having drinks at the bar at Hakkasan Dubai.
Where is Hakkasan Dubai located
Hakkasan Dubai is located on the ground floor of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers hotel in Downtown Dubai. You must book before you go. This restaurant would be perfect for a special occasion and the terrace will soon be open. I think they have a set brunch for AED 199 excluding beverages. This is amazing value for this type of restaurant. I haven’t tried it but will report back soon.
Thank you Monica. You may want to use this link to conveniently book your table at Hakkasan via Round Menu.
We’re talking about this on The Ticket Tuesday 4th October, here’s the post with podcast.
