The Rose and Crown Dubai is the first outlet to open in Al Habtoor City’s Atrium complex
The Rose and Crown Dubai is a very English style informal pub that’s the first of seven outlets to open in the Atrium complex of Al Habtoor City.
Where is the Rose and Crown Dubai located
We took exit 47 off Sheikh Zayed road and followed signs to Al Habtoor City. It’s actually located next to the W Hotel. So to find the location drive past the St Regis entrance, carry on into the flags of the W hotel and then you can valet park your car here.
What to expect food wise at the Rose and Crown Dubai?
Expect British pub grub type food to eat here. We had some very good fish and chips served along with mushy peas and some fresh tartar sauce AED 85. I really liked my scampi and chips as well though, a good starter portion for 2 to share or a great light meal for one. There is also a selection of burgers as well as staples like steak and steak pie made with real ale.
And to drink at the Rose and Crown Dubai ?
Expect lots of craft beers here. It was interesting to see they had a good selection of gins too. I’m surprised they had one that I tried In Edinburgh called The Botanist! No artisan type tonics like Fever Tree light or Fentimans as yet though. Decent decaff cappuccinos too.
Is it worth a visit?
This is a pleasant, informal place to wind down after work, have a few drinks and some food to fill you up. There’s also a pool table and darts board upstairs. It was a bit smoky at our booth type table, but there is a library section that seemed to be smoke free. However you’d be eating at coffee table type settings there. I’m not sure how popular chips and curry sauce are on the menu though, not sure how many pubs in London still serve this dish! Still it’s a real contrast to the more formal W hotel next door.
What’s next
The Rose and Crown is the first of 7 outlets to open here, expect to see The Blind Dragon and Flying Noodles open soon, please let me know if there are Mah Jong tables!
Thank you Monica.
