GRUBSHACK AUTHENTIC GOAN IN HEALTHCARE CITY
A great GOAN find in Health Care City. Very busy with families eating lunch on a Friday, we loved the Rechado Goan style prawns with rice. First much smaller branch set up in Sharjah by a Goan couple who now live in Jumeirah. Must also try the Kulfilicious ice cream which you need after the spicy Goan prawns. Chicken Xiacuti also a favourite with our party. Do you know any other Goan restaurants in Dubai?
TOP PICS FOR THE STREET FOOD MARKET
We really liked the atmosphere at the Street Food Market Dubai last Thursday, it’s on again this week end and makes a great evening out. AED 10 to enter then pay for what you consume and that includes alcoholic beverages. DoinDubai’s top pics from the market would be The lamb seekh kebabs from Moti Roti, the papaya salad from Cafe Isan and the custard tarts from Nattas Portuguese bakery. The sweet potato fries were a great hit with everyone from Pies and Fries. Check it out this week end! We also liked the raclette and potatoes, but don’t go on the bucking bronco after this!
BREAKFAST IN PARIS IN BED AT LA CANTINE
I didn’t expect much of this brunch, but did like that it started at 12pm as on Saturday that’s still breakfast time for me! We LOVED the La Cantine brunch and would go again. Choose from a range of egg dishes to start then SMALL plates from their Signature selection, cheese or desserts to finish. Throw in some waiters in pyjamas wearing shades and dressing gowns, a gorgeous terrace and voila you’re in Paris in Dubai, nowhere near Global Village or Falcon City of Wonders!
SPICY VEGGIE FOOD KLUB IN KARAMA
A brand new Indian restaurant with it’s first branch in Dubai, the original is in Mumbai. Some vegetarian molecular gastronomy going on here, but have you ever tried Indian Italian food? They have a connected restaurant called Quatro that you can access from the SpiceKlub! We’re lunching in Kuwait Street!
LADIES NIGHT AT BICE EVERY THURSDAY!
Hmm so it seems venues are vying for custom offering deals on a Thursday now! We would recommend this Thursday evening deal for the Ladies. A new Ladies Night we went to it after the Street Food Market. This time at Bice at the Hilton. Unlimited prosecco from 9 till 11 pm accompanied by some selected canapes. Get a table on the terrace if you can. Very good value. Anyone know how long Bice has been established in Dubai?
