Mall of Emirates – Useful and hard to find information here
Welcome to Mall of Emirates – useful and hard to find information you’ll be glad to know.
The iconic and manageable sized Mall of Emirates is on our doorstep as well on most tourist lists, but here’s what makes a trip there a breeze!
Do you know where the taxi queue is shorter?
There are two places to get taxis one much quieter and less busy than the other!
One is in direction of Carrefour near the food court and the Nike shop, the other past Zara and Calzedonia on the left with Ski Dubai in front of you. Both are on the ground floor.
The one near Carrefour is ALWAYS busier and has longer queues for taxis, try the other one!
Avoid taking taxis between 3.30pm and ideally 5pm due to shift changes if you can.
Careeems and Ubers can be ordered from the same place as you take public taxis.

Great value for money tasty lunch – where and what?
A good idea for a value for money lunch or late afternoon snack is Bombay Chowpatty. A masala dosa and water costs just AED 19. That’s for dine in.
TIP ask for the masala, that’s the potato bit SEPARATE, that way your dosa won’t get soggy!
You won’t be able to get cheaper, naturally vegan food anywhere else in the mall! If you like Indian thali meals try this link for a range of places in Dubai.

Where to have your coffee before the mall shops opens at 10am
Many of the coffee shops open before the shops open in the mall, around 8am. A very reasonable coffee shop with cool vibes is the Starbucks opposite Diesel on the 1st floor. Note a regular flat white is AED 18 here, that’s in a mug for dine in!
And remember to ask what size of cups any coffee shop has, remember that Portion Distortion issue!
Which coffee shops are near the Apple store if I have to wait
Pricey but a great place to wait if youโre having some work done at the Apple store is The Lighthouse cafe. It costs AED 28 for a flat white and bitesize cake on the side.
There is also good natural light for working too. BUT the Italian cafe just behind that one charges AED 35 for a large, flat white! Ouch!
Don’t be afraid to ask to for the price of a coffee before you choose your venue.

Could be useful in cooler weather !
Tights for the ladies seem to be in vogue this season especially as it was so cold in Dubai! Try Calzedonia on the ground floor. All sizes and reasonable prices.
Too much shopping to carry around ? Then try this..
Remember there is a Hands Free shopping facility on the ground floor if you want to wander around without heavy bags or any bags!
