Eating Out
We’re at a little place called Hot Fish, eating on the terrace by moonlight overlooking the Burj Al Arab! So simple but really good! Order spicy fried prawns, catch of the day and some fish curry gravy.

Rice is a must for me and get change from AED 150 for two people. Simple but very sweet Hot Fish in Umm Suqueim Park, not far from Al Thanya street. Don’t forget if you want to BUY SOME FRESH FISH, then head to the Fish Market Jumeirah. See our full post on that. They also have a branch in Karama, no dosas though!

Outing
Have a wander in the little streets of Meena Bazaar this weekend. I suggest you get to the Dolphin hotel just off Khalid bin Walid road, park around there and then walk around. In terms of timing go ideally just after iftar in the early evening time, as shops and cafes will be open. The atmosphere should be vibrant and buzzy!
What to buy? Fabric to copy a favorite shirt, sparkly accessories like hair clips and sandals, all of which would cost a fraction of what you’d pay in a mall.
If you’ve got someone to help you carry stuff then pop in to one of the little grocery shops and buy some Indian vegetables or a box of alphonso mangoes! You can buy all manner of haberdashery to up-cycle an old outfit to get a completely new look!

Events a very special Suhoor in the Sky
The event for this Ramadan 2022 has to be the special Suhoor in the Sky in conjunction with the Four Seasons Jumeirah! This was “piloted” last year and was so successful they’re running it for the whole of Ramadan 2022.
Deep pockets required to experience this very special suhoor in the sky though! Get to Dubai World Central airport and stop at the VIP Jetex terminal. You’ll board your Suhoor in the Sky flight from here. It should be around 40 minutes or so round trip during which you’ll taste a 4 course Suhoor specially prepared by Chef Ramie of the Four Seasons Jumeirah.
Expect traditional musicians, sophisticated luxury lounges and treats before and after your flight. To eat we liked all our mezzes, the lobster, lamb chops and our beetroot steak! Taster desserts were also very good especially our mango and passion fruit pastry mousse!
It’s an 18 seater private jet, but 14 spaces available to book. You’ll need valid vaccine certificates and have to present your passports to book. See this instagram reel to get a taste of the Suhoor in the Sky. A special Thank You to the Four Seasons Jumeirah for this incredible invitation.
