A mother and daughter review their Oberoi Dubai Facial Spa date. Why do people assume couples therapy treatment rooms are only for couples?
We loved our mother and daughter spa session and can’t think of a better way to spend quality time. A great idea for a couple of friends, or siblings too.
Oberoi Dubai Facial for younger and more mature skin
We had 2 highly trained therapists from India who focused on making our entire session as comfortable as possible. My facial focused on anti ageing techniques and replenishing while my daughter’s facial focused on clearing and revitalizing young skin that was prone to break outs.
Having the experience together was such a good idea. The spacious treatment room on the 3rd floor of the Oberoi hotel in Business Bay had 2 high tech beds side by side but with more than enough room for each therapist to work effectively.
There is a also a large bathroom with steam room built into the spacious walk in shower within the treatment suite. The bathroom is also equipped with cool, cotton robes that you wear for the duration of your treatment.
You can hang up your clothes in the same area and there is also a very useful jewellery box for your personal items. So no need for lockers. I really liked this aspect.
The products used for the Oberoi Dubai facial
The Oberoi Spa is one of a handful of spas in Dubai that use the sublime and all natural Sodashi products for their facials. I’d never heard of them before but I’m now a big fan and want to buy some of the products.
The Sodashi range comes from Australia and the word itself is connected to wholeness, radiance and purity in the Sanskrit language. The Sodashi philosophy is to use the purest, botanical ingredients that are known for their regenerative properties. But all their ingredients are ethically sourced from around the world.
Expect to find ingredients like arnica oil, bergamot and cardomom in their products.
I was treated with a product called Rejuvenate from the Sodashi range.. especially designed for dry and dehydrated skin. This is something we are so prone to in Dubai with our strong sun outdoors and powerful air conditioning inside.
The treatment itself
The facials themselves were administered professionally and confidently. I particularly liked how a neck and shoulder massage was integrated into the facial treatment. So unlike other facials where your therapist leaves you at mask time, we were treated to an integrated mini massage!
The results of our facials were obvious and immediate. We almost had to be woken from a sort of slumber at the end of our treatment we were so relaxed!
