Try this super easy, delicious hot or cold air fryer dessert. I used plums, but it works really well with a combination of apple and pear slices too!
Make ahead of time and warm up if you live somewhere cold or have from the fridge for breakfast or pudding if you’re somewhere hot.

It would also make a super dessert for any festive occasion – Eid al Adha just around the corner!
INGREDIENTS for AIR FRYER DESSERT – Easy delicious hot or cold crumble
Plums or Pears or Apples or a combination

Little butter and brown sugar to soften the fruit in the air fryer
Add a little “Christmas type” seasoning if you have it – star anise, cardamom powder, clove powder, cinnamon of course. Ginger powder if you like.
The gluten free flour free crumble topping
Sunflower seeds/Pumpkin seeds/Flax Seeds and your favourite nuts
I use almonds and walnuts or whatever I have to hand
Brown sugar or jaggery if you can get it
HOW TO MAKE IT
Cut up your fruit and lay directly onto air fryer paper in your air fryer
Sprinkle with your Christmas seasoning and dot the fruit with a little butter
Sprinkle a little brown sugar or jaggery over your fruit
Cook in your air fryer at about 180 degrees till your fruit is softened but not mushy
To make the flour free crumble topping
You need to turn your seeds to powder – easy in a thermomix

You need to crush your nuts to some powder and leave some textured
I use a mixture of roughly equal amounts of nuts to pumpkin/sunflower seeds /flax seeds
Add a little brown sugar according to how sweet your palate is
Then sprinkle the crumble topping all over the fruit on your air fryer paper
Air fry till your fruit is soft or your plums glisten.
I dot with a little extra butter before the final few minutes.
COOKS TIP
Remember your fruit is fairly cooked and there is no flour to cook in the crumble topping, the seeds and nuts DO NOT NEED much heat for too long, else you risk burning.
So keep an eye at this point! You’re looking for a change of colour really.
Eat hot with Greek yoghurt or put in the fridge and have cold for dessert or breakfast.
