I LOVED lunch at Origami Sushi, it’s affordable, fresh sushi, right by the sea. You are not in a hotel, yet it feels like you’re on holiday right here in Dubai.
Try Origami Sushi Fusion in Dubai and tell me I’m wrong! Their concept is fusion sushi so it’s sushi as we know it but with some very welcome twists, like a slightly chillier miso soup for instance.
Chili and seaweed on their yellow tail sashimi carpaccio.
Where is Origami Sushi
Origami Sushi is on the 1st floor of an area called Al Suq. Turn off the Jumeirah Beach road at the MacDonalds/petrol pump just past or before (depending on your diretion) the Burj Al Arab. Go to the end of the road, and you’ll see Al Suq and the sign pictured below. Turn left and park where you can, you are actually allowed to go into the complex and park there too, it’s free and you don’t have to own a boat either!
To Eat at Origami Sushi
Whatever you feel like, but I recommend the miso soup, the yellowtail and the crispy baby squid. We ordered this twice it was so good. Gorgeous service to match the seaside views, just no glass of chilled rose! Oh well….
Go now while the weather is delicious too!
What else is there to explore in this fishing harbour location
There are a couple of cafes, a branch of the famous Bu Qtair and a place that serves similar fried fish and prawns called Al Fannah. But they also say they serve dosas in the mornings! From 9am, I shall try and report back to my readers!
