DESERT PALM DUBAI
The weather is perfect for exploring the Desert Palm Dubai boutique hotel and grounds. Why is it a great place to take visitors or have a relaxing end of year get together? The โresortโ is home to 400 or so horses, 4 polo fields, two restaurants an equestrian museum and a spa.
THE GROUNDS
Whilst at the Desert Palm Dubai it really is worth taking a look around the grounds; the polo fields are lush and green right now. The stable tour includes visiting the horses in their very well maintained paddocks and seeing them prepare for a polo match if one is imminent. It also includes a visit to the grounds of the museum where the owner has collected a variety of equestrian memorabilia. While you can go into the museum grounds the internal museum space itself is private. There is also a riding school for the disabled you can visit.
FOOD AND DRINK
We watched the polo for a while on the very Victorian type terrace and then had tea at Epicure one of the Desert Palm Dubaiโs two restaurants. The other is a steak restaurant called Rare. We opted for the set tea and ended up packing up some of the great desserts to bring home. Tea itself is served in modern Bodum teapots which I really enjoyed. You overlook the calm swimming pool of the resort and one of the polo fields. There is also a wide selection of spirits available if you prefer your tea a little stronger!
ACCOMMODATION
The Desert Palm Dubai resort has 38 guest rooms and suites. There are also 98 residential villas on the property. At the moment the hotel attracts guests mainly from GCC countries and the UK and Germany. I would definitely make the location known to whoever may be thinking of staying there as it is a little way out from the Malls and major attractions of Downtown Dubai or the Dubai’s beach areas.
TOP TIPย
Why not have tea and a stable tour at the Desert Palm Dubai after doing some plant shopping at Warsan, literally down the road, or after some shopping at Dragonmart, again in the same area.

As well as the horses, there is a resident lady goat called Fafa and she is almost 3 years old !
